This lovely piece of Architecture in Rhodes is sure to transport you back into the Middle Ages, or teleport you into a Disney Film, whichever you prefer. The typically medieval structure is a delight to see. The rounded towers with their jagged balconies are simply lovely.
The entrance itself is grand and imposing. Built by the Knights of Rhodes, the castle speaks volumes about Rhodes’ medieval history. But the piece de resistance of the castle are the stunning mosaics. Thalia, Poseidon and many mythological figures can be seen in their mosaic forms in this lovely castle. There is a lot of history to be explored in Rhodes and this is the perfect place to do it.

Palace Of The Grand Master Of The Knights Of Rhodes, Rhodes Reviews - Write a Review
Do not waste your time and money. You pay €10 to enter into a large court yard and 1 exhibits hall, which is no larger than a football field. There are multiple other doors, even glass doors, that it looks as if you should be able to enter into but you are not allowed. When we visited there were men going into some of these other rooms so naturally all if the guests tried to follow. You could at least glimpse at one more room full of artifacts before they shooed you away.
A medieval masterpiece, completely restored to its former glory. A large palace, huge defensive walls and battlements, a tremendous moat, all can be visited in foot. The Old City within the walls is also wonderful, particularly the Knights’ Street with its Order Houses lining it. In my opinion it’s the one “do not miss” site in the whole of Greece.
Spectacular place with a rich history. 6 euro admission for adults, free for young kids. Can't bring a stroller inside so parents may want to go for a walk around the palace instead. This is just as awesome. Remember to hydrate because it gets really hot. There is lots of small shop that sells snacks and drinks around the palace.
Very beautiful and the mesh of history and different cultures is palpable and fascinating. Do read a few wiki articles before visiting because the explanations there are more than lacking. DONT wear heels!!! Also besides the museum, everything is for free so it's worth it
Stunning architecture, such a beautiful building inside and out. From the masonry to the marble staircase and all the lovely room's with the mosaics, it's a must visit.
