Excellent location, great selection of plants, and good food. A bit pricey. Well worth a visit especially on a sunny day.
Excellent place where to have lunch and escape from the city. Quality is great, as Italian I would avoid some dishes that taste too "british", such as the chocolate salty tart
The coffee was nice.... what little there was of it. Very expensive for what it was and didn't like the small trendy water glasses used to serve the coffee in. The rustic setting is very pretty but for the price you're paying for the coffee I would expect a proper cup and more than 3 sips.
Beautiful setting and increasingly there's good affordable food available from the cafe as opposed to the lovely restaurant which, sadly, is priced for special occasions.
I didn't take time to read through the reviews, but was surprised it wasn't rated higher on TA. I'm guessing that's because it's on the expensive side (£20-£25 mains) or because it's not a 'typical' restaurant (surrounded by flowers and dirt floor). Well let me tell you - there's no doubt in my mind the Petersham restaurant was a unique and awesome experience. The staff was uber friendly with swift. The food was incredible - baratta starter and rabbit main were two of the better dishes I've had in a long while. The atmosphere was truly unique - almost magical being surrounded by nature. Sure, it's not a typical 4 star marble floors experience, but since those kinds of places are all over London I vote the Petersham restaurant better. Highly recommended
