You must have heard of temples in Egypt being rebuilt piece-by-piece after the Nile flooded those places! Have you heard of mansions crossing boundaries and being rebuilt in another country altogether? The Agecroft Hall is one such mansion. Originally built in Lancashire in the UK, this palatial residence was then transported to Richmond. The architecture of the house is one of the finest examples of Tudor style in the United States. A little piece of England, if you must, Agecroft Hall serves as a museum of social history of what a household of a gentry-family of England would look like. With the exquisite gardens and the period mansion, it’s very easy to look track of time and wish time travel was possible.

Really something to go to Richmond to see. How many Tudor houses are in the United States of America? Beautiful building, good tour, could spend a lot of time in there if I had been allowed to. Wonderful part of the city also. Enjoy the feeling of going back in time.
It is a unique representation of an old English Manor. Odd mixture of genuine and renovated architecture. Also furniture from different time periods. Docent was interesting. Gardens we're quite nice.
Great hidden gem of Richmond. A real Tutor house from England. After many visits I see or learn something new every time. Take the time to see the neighborhood and gardens. The architecture alone is worth the trip but the furniture is also period. The staff is ever helpful and quite knowledgeable of all of the time periods of the house and owners. Great place. Don't overlook it.
I am not sure what I was expecting when I decided to visit Agecroft but I was stunned when I arrived. This house is amazing. It is a third of the original Agecroft that was built in England and had a five hundred plus history there before it was purchased by TC Williams and shipped to the states
Such a beautiful place! The tour was amazing and the property is well kept.
