For all those of you interested in America’s history with slavery, the Richmond Slave Trail will be a fascinating experience. The trail starts from the Manchester Docks and follows the path of the slave trade path past houses where they were placed and auctioned, including Lumpkin’s Jail. Between the years 1830-1860, Richmond received the largest shipment of slaves, which were either kept back in Richmond or transported to other locations within the country. These tours are usually a seldom affair, so if you have small children don’t take them with you on this trail.
- Station 2 (European cuisine served; hamburgers recommended)
- Globe Hopper Coffee & Lounge
- Maximo's Spanish & Italian Bistro (Spanish and Italian cuisines)
