Science Museum Of Virginia - Review
Regardless of whether or not you like science, the Science Museum of Virginia is sure to guarantee a fun time. The Science Museum has something for everyone- children enjoy the Ethyl IMAX Dome and the Planetarium while the adults prefer the Solar Decathlon House, something like what a green house should look like in the future. Covering all the aspects in the field of science, astronomy, physics, telecommunications and crystals are just the tip of the iceberg. The museum is housed in a former train station, so if you’re just looking to pick up a souvenir, you can do so without buying a ticket.

Science Museum Of Virginia, Richmond Reviews
My husband and I stopped here every year to check this place out. They never cease to fail us with amazement. The general admission is a tad high but well worth it! Every two years they change up their display for the main floor and every year they change up the secondary display which is usually located downstairs. This place is educational and fun and a perfect place to take family or school trips. You will fall in love with the gift shop although it is a tad bit expensive. Located in Richmond's oldest train station, it was converted into what is now known as this wonderful Science Museum. They even have a small section located at the front displaying the transformation of what it used to be. Even Elvis stop by in the 50s. Highly recommended!
So much fun and as a full grown adult man I would recommend all the kids activities in the basement. Had a blast. My wife had to drag me out. 10/10 cannot wait to go back.
It was a nice place and we had a blast but a lot of the parents were letting there kids run all over the place. This one kid managed to step on my foot three times waiting for some air hockey game. As i was about to approach his mom which was right there on her phone not paying the least bit of attention to him.. she finally looked up and said come on lets go we have to go meet your dad. I understand this is mainly a place for kids but we paid to enjoy our time like everyone else. So all in all it was nice. Just they need to enforce or encourage the parents to pay more attention to there kids. 3 is the best I can give.
Awesome museum. Main exhibits are free for active military. Special exhibits are not. The children's play area on the bottom floor near the maker space is for kids 5 and under and is perfect for long, rainy afternoons. Includes a walled baby area.
Went to the Maker Fest last weekend. Lots of fun. Definitely will come back to see the rest of the museum.
