As a solo traveler it may have been lost on me how stunning this place is, particularly at night when one may wish to impress their other half. Definitely one for the romantics. During the day it's a wonderful place to be, to relax or just wander aimlessly through.
Another great part of a great city! A canal with nice water reflections and boats crossing it, a park with beautiful flowers and some small bridges. Ideal for a short walk or just for relaxation. Enjoyable all the times of the day or night.
Such a beautiful location. People strolling through the beautiful well maintained park. Daisy, being played in the park by a violin, while travelling down the river. Surrounded by majestic buildings of old.
Really pretty and well kept, clean park. Could easily spend a couple of hours walking from one end to the other following down the canal and stopping to sit for a bit. You can take a boat ride down the canal, or sit and feed the ducks. Freedom monument is right in the centre on a plaza, and theres lots nearby like the opera house, the latvian occupation museum, and plenty of cafes and restaurants. It is also right next to the old town
Perfect place to chill and relax, have a picnic in the summer time. The pace is open for public with no charge. There is a river running through the park and you can take a river canal cruise in a small boat or even do your own paddling in a small boat. It's very central and enroute to old city. Highly recommended you walk through it.
