The Feira or Fair is not to be missed. It is a cultural fare held in a sprawling space in the Sao Cristovao neighbourhood comprising over 700 stalls. It showcases the culture of the Northeast region of the country through food, art & crafts, music and performances. On the weekends there are live bands, samba dancers, street theatre and much more happening here. The fare is open 24 hours throughout the weekend from Friday morning to Sunday night and the scene is vibrant and lively. Youwill find a host of locals and tourists making merry and enjoying the delicious food and drinks on offer. Do try the cachaça (cane liquor) available here for a taste of local flavour.
