* The facts given above are based on traveler data on TripHobo and might vary from the actual figures
  • Cute little train station right on the water. Easy exit and to get to the actual town there are stairs (many stairs to climb up) closely or you can take the shuttle bus

  • Despite Corniglia station being right on the sea, there not much to photograph from access points around the station. The town is up a arduous hill, but there is a shuttle bus that runs back and forth and if you have the CT train pass, the bus is free, whew. Even if you don’t, it’s only half a euro. However there is a flatter walk that goes left as you walk up the hill. It would probably go all the way into town, but it’s far and steep. A few good views from there. BUT for the great views of Corniglia one needs a helicopter or a goat.

  • Train station with people that give you very limited information. Their English is very hard to understand.

  • We were advised to take the train (by the person who sold bus tickets to Riomaggiore, which would've been faster). The train was canceled, and the platform extremely crowded. We had to wait for over an hour, all the information was in Italian, and once the next train came it was so crowded that we couldn't get on. We had to wait another two trains before we could board. The infrastructure is definitely not made for the intense turism, I'd advise anyone to keep trekking to the next city instead of taking public transport from Corniglia.

  • Unlike the other localities of the Cinque Terre, Corniglia is not directly adjacent to the sea.
