About Rochester Broadway Theatre League, Rochester

Founded in 1957, the theatre has made a name for itself as a platform for diverse stage productions - Broadway, comedy, original plays, and all round entertainment. It’s also a great music venue, with events in rock, classical and R&B music. The theatre building itself was built in 1928. The acoustics are terrific, and the wall fresco art gives the place a nice old world feeling. The theatre isn’t very large, so despite the big productions, the performances feel very intimate. It’s been estimated that the theatre’s activities contribute about $30 million to the city’s economy annually. The staff at the theatre is quite helpful and friendly.

  • Great shows. Seating is uncomfortable depending where u are. Rochester needs a new Performance Center.

  • Awesome place we recently saw Ron White here. Nice sized venue staff were polite and helpful. Will be going back for another show as soon as we can. Parking was also ok, just follow the signs

  • Easy to find. Two stages. Limited parking.

  • Went here for a graduation, venue was clean but one of the security guards were not very hospitable he kept forcing people to sit in their seat when their child was getting ready to walk the stage. I understand that there needs to be order but to be so angry about it is another thing. Overall it was a good experience 😎

  • I personally love the Auditorium Theater and its rich historical significance. As an Art Deco structure, it contains some of the finest examples of the style in the region.
