Seabreeze Amusement Park - Review

Opened in 1879, this is the 12th oldest operating amusement park in the entire world. Additionally, the park’s Jack Rabbit rollercoaster is the 4th oldest in the world. Today, it’s famous for its 4 roller coasters, the historic 1915 carousel, various thrill rides, the waterpark (complete with a wave pool, tubes, and flumes), and kiddie rides. There are shows and exhibits such as the Cirque en Vol, the Carousel Museum, and the Arcade. The Norris Family, who own the park and live there, manage the amusements. You can rent the picnic groves for private events, and there are special rates and services for birthday parties.

Seabreeze Amusement Park, Rochester Reviews

  • This is an amazing gem here in Upstate NY! Family owned, clean, safe and affordable! We come here once or twice a year with large groups and we love it. There are lots of rides and water fun for little kids on up to adrenaline junkies. I feel completely comfortable letting the kids go off on their own with friends because the park is a manageable size and the security is visible and numerous. We are very fortunate to have such a fantastic, family friendly venue within an easy drive.

  • I believe I saw a PBS documentary about the great family-owned amusement parks, and that Seabreeze was featured on it. It is a very clean little park and feels very safe. It is right on the shore of Lake Ontario, although I felt it doesn't use that to its greatest advantage. My 11-year-old son and I really enjoyed our evening there, and the prices on everything from admission to food to games were much more reasonable than elsewhere in the country.

  • Seabreeze Amusement Park is easily one of the finest amusement parks in the country! We specifically enjoyed our latest trip (7/17/18), as we were able to whip through 30 rides (total includes re-rides) in just 3 hours! Other than the Time Machine today, the park has always put an effort to ensuring all rides are open ALWAYS . . . this is something you don't see at many parks these days! Sadly, we weren't able to have any of the food, but our fountain sodas were on point! On other trips, we've enjoyed such options as the pizza and funnel cake fries . . . we will easily make up for it next trip. Two personal suggestions for the park: 1.) I would consider adding an additional ride for the thrill seekers, but that is only to supplement what is otherwise one of the best ride line-ups at any amusement park! 2.) Autumn is one of our favorite seasons, so my family would love to see the park open an additional weekend or two in September . . . we would easily make a trip up there for that! To those reading this review, consider picking up the new Seabreeze Park book by Jim Futrell . . . one of the best reads of its kind! It's available at the park's gift shop. All in all, we can't wait for our next trip and encourage everyone to consider taking a day (or two) to go enjoy Seabreeze Park!

  • I took five kids ranging from 5 - 12 years old. We all had a wonderful time. The rides are not separated by size and when the taller children rode the rides the shorter children had rides close by to ride at the same time. Staff were all very helpful and knid from the moment we entered the park. Lines moved quickly and all staff were alert to monitor safety of the visitors. I noticed security alert and present throughout the entire park. The park was clean and bathrooms were easy to find. Will definitely go again!!!!!!

  • The Park is beautiful and well kept. The staff at the side entrance 5 Star. Super friendly, just like in Disney world. We were there for a annual company event. Food in the private picnic area was not that great. Chicken was very dry. The soda fountains ran out of Pepsi and because the event was coming to a close they wouldn't refill. The same with the condiments. I feel if the event is until 5pm you should keep everything filled until the very end. It should never look like you have to scrape the bottom of the pans. I know you probably don't want any waste, but it makes you look better if things are stocked to the very end.
