Seneca Park Zoo - Review
Spread over 15 acres, this excellent zoo is home to about 90 species of animals. Opened in 1894, it’s quite old. Most of the animals here are from the planet’s temperature and polar regions - penguins, sea lions, cranes and lynx. They have large water tanks too, and you can view the more amphibious animals, including the polar bears, swimming through the the glass walls of the tanks. Visit the park’s website if you want to check out their catalogue of animals. The zoo also conducts research, conservation and educational activities, and visitors and welcome to involve themselves. There are events organised throughout the year. It’s nothing special if you’re an adult going alone, but it’s absolute delight of a place if you’re taking kids along.

Seneca Park Zoo, Rochester Reviews
We went here for our daughter's first birthday and I haven't been to this zoo in years. We we're thoroughly impressed with how clean it was and how much fun we had. There was parts that were under construction but it didn't take away from our experience. The staff was friendly and we just had an overall great experience. Thank you Seneca Park zoo!! We will be buying a membership next year!!
The animals were out and about today y'all 😀. The red panda was beautiful. I was so happy that they weren't inside. I got some great pictures today. My nieces and nephew had a great time. The did rock climbing, played on the playground, and go their feet wet in the stream. I was very pleased that the bathrooms were very clean. The kids had so much fun, they went to sleep as soon as the car was in motion.
This place was precious! Super clean and family friendly. I don’t have kids, but I love how there were places for children to play and have fun. It was such a nice atmosphere. And bonus, they’ve added new animals and there are more to come soon! Can’t wait to feed the giraffes!🦒
The Seneca zoo is a great place to escape life for an hour or two. Some of the highlights the effort, time, money this zoo is doing to renovate and make this place a little more welcoming and much more exciting is exciting! I went on the opening of the new savanna day and wow! It’s amazing the new animals are still adapting and are still little shy. I over herd a conversation stating that in the next week or month or so another giraffe will be calling Seneca home. As much as I love the new exhibit and the red panda exhibit there is some stuff that can change. Example I think after the new building for the orangutan and silver back gorillas is being built they should really focus on a new tiger exhibit such a a new hyena and wolf exhibit. They’re super outdated! I also think this zoo should have a petting zoo and a state of the art reptile house. I’d also like to see in the future the zoo grow towards the west of the savanna they have another 5 to 10 acres of unused land that be be huge project for something more. Anyways this zoo isn’t bad just go on a cool day all the animals seem to be out.
It's a nice zoo often making changes and upgrades. Like the elephant and Otters exhibit. Easy to get around. Plenty of food stops at within reasonable prices. It would be nice if they had a petting zoo section for small children. I like the ambassadors program which has adults and students giving information about the animals. They are very helpful and we usually learn something new.
