Someway southwest of the downtown area you will find the large Marketplace Mall. When opened in 1982 it was notable for being the first regional mall between New York City and Cleveland. There are about a hundred and forty store and service outlets, 100000 square meters of retail space, and several restaurants. Plans are underway to convert the mall into an indoor outlet mall, a project that is expected to be completed by the end of 2017. All things considered, the mall is a wonderful way to spend the day out. Check out the mall website for events and exhibitions hosted there, and also for possible store promotion programs.

The Marketplace Mall Reviews & Ratings
Although it is still raking in stores. This mall really needs to fill those empty store fronts and also look for 2 new big stores to fill the Sears and Macy's space. I recommend Toys R Us when they redubte and another big store like at home or Best buy.
This mall, it seems to me, is dying. There definitely aren't as many stores here as there used to be. You can't find an icing here, neither can you find a forever 21. Everything else about the mall is fine; it seems clean enough, and the setup is nice. There just isn't much to visit.
I don't shop here as much as I used to because of online shopping but this is my favorite mall because I know where everything is. I also love the Chinese food in the food court and the merry go round when I have my grand kids with me
Like many other malls in the country, Marketplace is trying to reinvent itself. Two anchor stores are currently empty and quite a few other storefronts were empty inside. Still, the mall has a lot to offer and was in great condition. Outside the grounds crew were working on keeping the parking lot clean.
For stores that you know are there (and open) an okay place to get your instant shopping gratification. Other then that, mall is dying. Anchor stores are closing. Could use some investment and refurbishment but may not happen because they may not want to compete with its own other properties. Has RPM Raceway (pretty cool electric go carts) and Dave & Busters. Field & Stream in an out building.
