About Koorana Crocodile Farm, Rockhampton
You’re in the Down Under… of course you can’t come away without seeing a crocodile or two. Driving the terror of this Australian animal deep into the hearts of National Geographic viewers everywhere was Steve Irvin’s legacy to the world. 35 km east of Rockhampton, see the beneficiary of that legacy in the flesh. The days are usually burning hot, but hey, that’s fair trade for being allowed to coddle a baby croc isn’t it? Keep those cameras ready; the croc is always grinning anayway. The guides are very helpful and will often leave you with some valuable advice: you can outrun crocs.

Koorana Crocodile Farm, Rockhampton Reviews
Awesome! Saw many crocodiles being fed up close. New born was amazing. Held small croc felt soft, wow!
The tour was fascinating. You do not get the opportunity to get this close to the crocodiles very often. It was great to hear about the history of the farm and to learn how it is making a difference to wild crocodile populations. Very affordable and well worth the trip.
I absolutely loved the croc farm. Best birthday and every staff member there made it possible. Especially the tour guide he is hilarious and knows his stuff. If you haven't been give it a go. I know i have a new respect for these creatures now. P.S. the food was great too. We will be going again!!!!
So much fun!! We went on my boyfriend's birthday in March, and it was a fabulous memory. The crocodiles even did a little song for his birthday. Really cute! They harmonized. The kids loved it, and we got amazing photos. Lowering the price of the beer is my recommendation, this was a disappointment. I'm an American, and I don't understand why beer needs to be $7 each. Ouch!! Poor me a Coors baby!!
Well worth a visit if you're in the area, some of the crocs they have are massive! Our guide, John, was fantastic, clearly has a great passion and respect for the crocodiles, alligators, and other wildlife a like. Last tour of the day during the week is at 1pm, which is also when the kitchen closes, so make sure you get there before then to get on the tour and to try some of the croc steaks.
