Rome Grand Mosque Reviews & Ratings
An amazing mosque which needs a bit of care. My wife and I went for Maghreb one day and found that there were only a handful of people there. This is mainly because the mosque is not in an area where the Muslims live. I would definitely recommend going on a day that the grand mosque is open (Friday or the weekend) as on other days prayers are held in a smaller room. When we went we were warmly greeted by the imam of the mosque, Salaah, who is originally from Egypt and is very welcoming. We were disappointed to see that the mosque needed a lot of repair work but the main prayer hall is really well kept.
The largest mosque in Europe! It is absolutely an amazing place to visit. You are allowed to go inside and take picutres. However, it's in a remote place so if you are getting there by taxi, make sure to take down the taxi firm number so you can call them when you finished having a look around.
This magnificently built Masjid is the first masjid in the Italian capital. Islam means submission to the will of Allah Almighty and Muslim means one who submits to Allah. Submission and Obedience to the Creator are the core elements of it. It's the way of life preached and practised by all the great prophets like Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (Peace be upon all of them).
Anyone visiting Rome must make a stop here. It's absolutely refreshing and remarkable to see the Mosque. It's huge and can accommodate perhaps over 5000 people indoor. Beautiful outdoor views and really a good place for Prayers and just serenity
Great mosque and spiritual area! The mosque is very clean, well furnished, and well ventilated.
