Named after Margherita of Savoia, the first wife of King Umberto's, Teatro Salone Margherita dates back to 1898 and still remains one of the most iconic Opera houses in Rome. Though small by seating capacity (only 100 seats), the acoustically designed theatre has hosted some of the biggest talents in Comedy, Opera and larger than life vaudeville/ burlesque shows. Till date, the theatre is up and running and seeing a show here is simply a ‘must-do’ when in Rome.

This was my first Opera and it was an excellent experience. The waiter was beyond great. Couldn't have asked for better. The food was nothing short of amazing. The Opera itself was everything I had hoped. I got the dinner with balcony seating. I had perfect seats in my opinion right in the front of the balcony and right in the center. I would definitely do this again.
Menu offered is an absolute disaster - balcony seats not worth it for the food or view. Only plus is privacy for the evening. Save your money and enjoy a post theater dinner at some of the finer establishments nearby.
Enjoyed the experience and the show.good night and opera was good for our first one.
A fantastic night. Good food and a fantastic performance of La Traviata.
