The Britannia Hotel, Rome Reviews - Write a Review
The service is great: they help with the luggage (primarily because there isn't much space on the elevator or the stairs), they serve a delicious breakfast with a large variety of items, they helped with any tourist questions, and they keep the room very clean. The room is a little tight on space, but otherwise comfortable with a fully stocked bathroom with good water pressure and consistent hot water. Also, everything in the mini bar is included (several soft drinks, water, various snacks). The room comes with a Samsung smart phone too, useful for navigation and making local calls. Finally, the location is excellent: conveniently located in the heart of Rome close to bus stops and the train station. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay, but felt it was a little cramped, and having stairs at the entrance is a little weird.
Fantastic stay. Comfortable room and really great staff (particularly reception). Lovely old feel with a slightly modern twist on decor. Off the main street so quiet too. Would highly recommend.
We stayed for one night as we had an early train out of Termini and wanted to be close by. Lovely service - they made us a little breakfast to go despite us needing to leave before their main breakfast service opened - and it was exactly what we needed for the evening. Room was small but very clean.
In this case you can refer to small as compact and efficient. The game changer was the 4g phone that was provided. Location was a 15 minute walk with baggage from the train station, close to metro, and Wi-Fi. . . . Sure you can go for a more expensive solution, but we didn't spend enough time there to need much else. The only detraction were the tickets for the Sistine chapel tickets excessive cost and wait time. Especially in comparison to those that were part of our same tour group. We were escorted to a series of ticket vendors until we were finally a group of 12. . . . Not to mention we paid 14-16€ more than anyone else.
Love it!!! Although it is a historical building its decoration and setting mixes elegance, and history with a soft touch of modernism. The rooms are decorated with taste. Comfortable bed and a chic bathroom. Excellent service from everyone in the hotel and an amazing breakfast buffet.
