Calling this monumental fountain the most famous in the world would certainly not be an exaggeration. This fountain is possibly one of the most recognizable examples of Baroque architecture in Italy and is certainly the largest Baroque fountain in Rome. Numerous artists, sculptors and architects had worked on the fountain and the end result was an eighty six feet high and one hundred and sixty one feet wide gargantuan monument.

Plan a trip to Rome to witness an unsusal culture followed here. Popular culture has it that if people throw a coin in the fountain, then they’ll return to Rome again in this life. For this reason, an approximate three thousand Euros have been deposited in the fountain daily.

  • Beautiful, well kept,Historical Fountain. Sculputures magnificent.Lot of tourists.A must see place in Rome. The fountain is always with running water besides the statues. The pool is in front. Tourists can view from the front and steps are there. Fantastic place to take magnificent photos. The belief is that is you through a coin to the pool wishing for something to happen, the wish will be full filled. The tradition is that people throw the coin not facing the fountain. The sight of the coins in the clear water in the pool itself is a beautiful sight. Trevi fountain is historic and magnificent.Hop in and Hop out buses in the city has a stop here. This is one of the must see attractions of Rome.

  • Beautiful place! When people say its crowded, they mean it! You can wait all day for the place to empty, but that's not going to happen. Short walk to and from the Pantheon. If you want to take a picture of yourself sitting on the fountain I recommend anyone visiting to pay attention to they way the crowds move. We managed to find a spot to take photos on the fountain by keeping to our right, since all the group tours arrive by the left and often stay there. It's a very lovely and romantic site. Definitely a must see!

  • Love this area of Rome! Beautiful fountain! Don't forget to throw your coin to comes back. A tip I can give you if you want a nice picture without the crazy crowd? Go super early in the morning or Late at night if you get a chance. We were staying only 3 minutes away and we would walk by at midnight and there were just 20-30 people around (believe me this is joke after you seen 300 people trying to snap a picture!) This is a beautiful place!

  • What a memorable place, and it’s surreal to be in here in such a historic site. Very important not to sit or touch the edges or any part of the fountain. The guards will certainly be prompt to tell you the same. After all they are trying to preserve a historic monument.

  • This fountain is breathtaking. Super busy which I could drop a star because of, but that's not the fountains fault. Hence why I still think it's a five star must see. It is free and a gorgeous site in Rome. It's detail is incredible and I haven't seen anything like it anywhere in the world.
