Located in the southern part of the Ronda, the Puerta de Almocabar connects the new town with the historical one. Built in the 13th century and modified several times, the attraction includes three gates and two semicircular towers, which once served as an accommodation to the safeguards. This one is in close proximity to a Muslim Cemetery. Hence it is named in Arabic as ‘Al-maqabir’. The door which was restored in 1961, was built in Renaissance style and also draws an inspiration from Charles V’s imagination.
