Best festival I have ever (and will ever) attend. The music curators are very competent, so the lineup is usually diverse and interesting. The size is obviously enormous, and the crowd atmosphere is always fantastic. Welcoming strangers and wholesome parties. The best times of my life have been at Roskilde festival.
A very good and well organized event. You can really feel that the people in charge know what they're doing, and all the way down the ranks everyone is doing their job so great. All the staff I met was very kind.
Roskilde Festival is fun in small doses if you're not into heavy drinking. It's less about music and more about partying for the majority of guests. They do make improvements as best as they can, so facilities are okay.
I've been to quite a few music festivals but mostly in the US. Roskilde was great. Food was great and prices were good for a music festival. The music was really good and the giant space where all the camp parties take place was a really unique experience. The lack of rain lead to some real dust issues though. I was sick for quite some time afterwards. I think this is also do to how it's the norm to pee on walls/on the ground. Was glad to camp in a quiet area and still be able to walk to crazy camp areas when I felt like it. Don't know how those young kids do it. I'm 28... I would go again but also bring a nice dust mask and definitely still camp away from the party camps. I'm not that hearty.
Top 3 festival in Europe. Biggest in Northern Europe as far as I know. The vibe is great, music is great and the food is great though a bit expensive. Try camping there it's an amazing experience if you like to party hard
