Sankt-Petri-Kirche also known as Petrikirche is a structure of historical significance. It is one of the oldest churches in Rostock, and was built in the 14th century. But it faced several calamities and wars that caused a considerable amount of destruction. It was reconstructed several times, and the last time it was modified was in the year 1994. The basilica has three naves, and a typically Brick Gothic architectural style. It is a distinguishing landmark of this town and a culturally important building. It has a 45 meter observation tower that offers marvelous views of the surrounding area and the Baltic Sea. Visit this place for an unforgettable experience.
