The city postcard, a must-see and the most photographed attraction of the town, is the triangular intersection of two streets in Rothenburg, with the famous house. This indeed is the most mesmerizing view within the town. Set on a cobbled street, timber houses on both sides with windows holding beautiful flowering plants. As real as experiencing a live painting! Enjoy walking around this place to immerse yourself experiencing the quintessential vibe of this quaint town!

Plonlein, Rothenburg Reviews - Write a Review

  • I can only give two stars for two reasons. 1, There was some renovation ongoing, which completely blocked and ruined the view. 2, The town is, to some extent, an disappointment. It's way over commercialized, and lack of good management. To start, ban all the vehicles in the inner city! You lost all the interest walking on the street because it's too dangerous!

  • Beautiful small town, old buildings but well maintained. Walking around the town and the castle is lasting memories.

  • Such a cute little town with picturesque buildings. Reminds me of beauty in the beast. Plenty of coffee and bread shops here. If you come early at 7am you can get the whole place to yourself almost, later in the day gets super crowded.

  • Try the local food. And walked around the City Wall

  • Rothenburg is unique for the lack of substantial economic development outside if the old city walls. Pretty much everything about the town and the West Franconia region is spectacular
