About Cube House, Rotterdam

Designed by Dutch architect Piet Blom, the quirky houses are made in the shape of cubes with different angles used to trip-off people who pass by. The innovative design fools people into thinking that the interiors can be quiet small but every cube has a sufficiently spaced house complete with furnishings and modern design!

The houses support each other and overlook the nearby pedestrian area. If you like to see places with a touch of weird-brilliance, take a walk inside the houses!

Cube House, Rotterdam Reviews - Write a Review

  • Great architectural site. It is an experiment of social housing, and even if the outcome is not as it was intended I think that it is a pretty good results. There is a little museum-house that you can visit for 3 euro: visit it, it is very nice and surprising to see how the space is managed in these peculiar cubic shape houses. On the inside there are three floors and each cube is an independ house, with the exception of the hostel.

  • An interesting insight into living in a cube house however there was nothing to read on the walls or any real information. Would really call it a museum. Cool houses though

  • Very interesting place. It is worth to buy a ticket and enter one apartment which dedicated for sightseeing. Personally I wouldn’t buy this apartment because I prefect big rooms :)

  • You love Jackie Chan? Remember his movie entitled Who Am I? Then this is your palace. The architecture of the Cube House is so fascinating, it looks so weird but yet so attractive!

  • Fantastic architecture. Must see place near Rotterdam. With train, tram and bus connectivity. Nearby good restaurents.
