Erasmusbrug - Review
There are many bridges in Netherland, but the Erasmus Bridge takes the prize any day. It is a cable-stayed and bascule bridge and connects the North Rotterdam to the South Rotterdam. The ultra-urban abstract design of the bridge stands out from the silhouette of Rotterdam and after dark, the lights add to its steely charm.
The bridge was completed in 1996 and was designed by Ben van Berkel. Visiting the bridge is a win-win since the panoramic view of Rotterdam over the river is just as fabulous as the bridge itself.

Erasmusbrug, Rotterdam Reviews
An impressive bridge in capacity and style. For me, not quite as iconic as Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco but when the sun is setting it is certainly wonderful to take the time to walk across and take in the views. Who you are walking across with makes all the difference, of course. 😉
The Erasmusbrug bridge looked like a swan from another perspective. The design was not so outstanding for me as compared to other more interesting architectures around. There were also copies of the same design bridges in Asia that I had seen.
Erg mooie brug en omgeving. Het is het waard om er even langs te gaan als je in Rotterdam bent. Ook goed te bereiken met de metro of bus.
Hats off to this architecture of engineering. Erasmus bridge. Well design, well planned bridge which connects two sides of de mass river through car lanes, bike lanes, tram routes & Pedestrian roads. Cables which are also part of this bridge are adding more points in asthetics.
OK,so arriving in Amsterdam,we got a train to Rotterdam...also worth a visit.. Anyway,I reccomend purchasing a Rotterdam card. Money off coupons, and a free journey, one way aboard the water bus!!..free!!! Its a one way journey, unless you pay about a euro for the return..we didn't..got got off at the other side ,walking about now, near a park.. Oh my gosh...Rotterdam has the most amazingly cheap,on time trams..also free with the Rotterdam pass. On board the water bus you pass a huge German cruise ship, usually docked... The bridge..from underneath is amazing.. People...don't just go to Amsterdam Get on the train, which is amazing too..going past the greenhouses along the way, time it right and you see the tulip fields too!!
