A weekend family retreat and a conservatory at the same time, this is one of Rouen’s favourite getaways. The flowers bloom in anticipation of the seasons; there’s an aviary of exotic birds; ducks and turtles in the water; and even an educational bee garden. In springtime, you might find the place full of painters out to capture their favourite flowers on canvas.

  • Lovely gardens a moderate walk (30-40 mins) South of the town of Rouen. There is also a bus route from Rouen which you can get if you don't fancy the walk. Entry is free to the public and it's a nice way to spend an hour or two. There are several interesting plant arrangements and sculptures but it would be nice to have more information signs to say what things are (including the different plants) and who created the artistic pieces.

  • We loved strollibg in the park. The kids loved the playground area and the mary-go-round. There were some nice hidden areas in the shade where we could sit, and some big grassy area where we could lay down. It is very well maintained and clean. Perfect for a walk with young children.

  • Free to the public. A beautiful place to enjoy a sunny afternoon in Rouen.

  • Wonderful green open space with playground

  • Nice free gardens to wander through by the See Seine. Wheelchair accessible pathways.
