Musee Des Beaux-arts De Rouen - Review
Aside from a good collection of fine art from the Renaissance to the present, the museum is noted for having a precious collection of rare Russian icons from the 15th - 19th centuries. Another popular exhibit is the Masterpieces of Florence Museums. Practically every European school of art is represented in the paintings here. There’s also a famous statue of Hercules slaying the hydra. The museum receives its 300,000 annual visitors

Musee Des Beaux-arts De Rouen, Rouen Reviews
Only saw the permanent exhibit. Beautiful collection, from medieval to modern. Emphasis on renaissance (has a Caravaggio and quite some Dutch and Flemish works), French impressionists (a famous Rouen cathedral painting by Monet for example) and other 19-20th century works. Mostly paintings but also some sculpture. Definitely worth a visit if you like art.
A nice surprise. The museum is bigger than i thought. it has a variety of paintings and sculptures, from the middle ages to modern. A nice collection of Monet, and also Sisley, Géricault, Delacroix, Caravaggio, Velazquez and many more. Recommended.
Beautiful combination of modern and classical french art, a must see for art lovers. The DuChamp collection was amazing. There an english booklet for non-french speaking visitors, friendly people
A wonderful Diego Velazquez-painting, Impressionists and much more. Take the time to see the full museum.
Don't have high expectations and you'll be thoroughly pleased.
