Ranua Wildlife Park Tour Reviews
You could easily spend a whole day at Ranua Zoo, so much to see! For children there are also plenty of other activities in addition to see and learn about the animal. The place seems very child friendly overall. It is very easy to get around in the park as wooden pathways and platforms have been built pretty much everywhere. A minor complaint for the navigation in the park, while you get a map, it's easy to lose your way. There is an app you can download that helps with this, but it is paid, 2.99€ at the time of writing this. Something I would also have liked to see is some details on the inhabitants; what are their names, how old are they etc. There was some backstory available for some animals, but would have liked to see more.
Was here in winter and snowing. Took me about 2 hours to complete the route. Most animals are hibernating or the place is too big to even 'locate' them which big is a good thing afterall for animals. Love the polar bears and happy to see that they can enjoy a what seemed like natural habitat.
A fair amount of animals that are easily seen along the walking route. There's plenty of information about the animals and even an mobile app guide. Food, refreshments, souvenirs and toys etc. also available. A nice 'adventure trail' playground for children. Our family easily spent three hours here and could have stayed even longer.
Nice experience for a finnish family, nothing disappointing, nothing surprising. Nice to have a buffet dinner after a walk in the zoo. Polar bears were obviously the best!!
Despite it raining all the time, I still saw most of the animals. The place is nicely kept and well maintained, routes are marked and it's easy to find your way. Would recommend the place
