  • Great park during the week. Costs something on the weekend but I've never done that. Lots of shade and the property goes on for quite a ways. Horse ranch at the very back. Several play areas for the kids. An outdoor exercise center for those folks who want to do that in public. Nice place to catch Pokemon too.

  • One of my favorite places in the San Gabriel Valley. Schabarum Park is the best way to "get out there" without really leaving suburban LA. There are miles of trails teeming with wildlife to be explored on foot, bike or horseback. Some trails are easy and popular with somebody always within eyesight. Others are more remote and it's easy to forget you're a few miles away from a mall. They do charge for parking on the weekends, so park across the street in the mall lot and walk over.

  • Beautiful park, and I've only seen 1% of it! It gets pretty busy so if you do come via car plan on being patient when parking as cars enter and exit. When I was there working on one of the several picnic tables I heard several car horns. Four stars because the bathrooms were very gross and this was at 9 in the morning so you could tell they don't clean them overnight. Also picnic tables were very dirty and sticky. It wasn't from the trees, it was from beverages being spilled and other sorts that made it sticky.

  • Great place to hike with many trails and dog friendly! Parking fee required weekends Found an alligator lizard which is incredible even though you're relatively close to the mall!

  • Nice retreat from the suburban sprawl. Great picnic areas to reserve for BBQ's & gatherings. This regional park offers hiking, running, horseback riding, trail biking, tennis courts, amphitheater, playgrounds for kids, free summer concerts, nature to explore and re-creation for all. Support the park - pay the minimal parking fee!
