South Ruby Campground Reviews & Ratings
The campground itself is fairly nice. Upper loop is more secluded. Lower loop is right by the road, BUT the road doesn't really go anywhere so traffic is non-existent. If you're into birding and are spending a few days at the NWR, this campground is PERFECT. If, like us, you're interested in exploring the area; this compound is a LONG way from anything. Lots of antelope, deer, chipmunks, and jack rabbits. Tons of water fowl. Fort Ruby is just down the road. Any other sight of interest is at least an hour and a half drive.
Very nice campground. I very much appreciated the fish cleaning station nearby.
Excellent campground, well maintained and clean. The mosquitos are fierce, but it is also cool to see the clouds of dragonflies swooping down to catch them.
Dint actually stay the night just stopped to use the restroom, its really clean lots of space and shade for the family
Nice kept facilities, and friendly hosts.
