The museum was established with the primary function of collecting, preserving and introducing the cultural heritage of the Ruhnu Swedes. There are exhibits of traditional Ruhnu tools and utensils, including 8000-year-old quartz hunting equipment of local seal hunters, the dragon’s head shaped weathervane of the local wooden church (1644) and a seal- hunting rifle made by local Swedish sealers. This place is a must visit for people who love to explore the historical and cultural place with lots of breathtaking artefacts from the 18th century. This beautiful museum defines the tradition and culture of the Swedish people.
