The Siebenschlaferkirche is a church building in Rotthof, a district of Ruhstorf der Rott in the district of Passau. In 1758 Johann Baptist Modler made the new high altar for the church. The baroque altar was transformed into the illusion of a grotto, where coloured light penetrates; using the simplest means (crates, tuff, shells). With this creation, the Rotthofer institution belongs to the best of the popular rococo art in Bavaria. This church is known for being historical as there were several skeletons and Roman tombs found at the beginning of the basic reconstruction work in 2004. Highly recommended for people who love to explore new places with historical importance.
