Love Waterfall - Review

When it comes about visualizing Sa Pa, its mesmerizing scenic beauty is the first fact that comes up in mind. Added to this, the stunning waterfalls act as the cherry on the cake. And the one that stand out is the Love waterfall. A beautiful story revolves around this waterfall that explains the reason responsible for the name of this waterfall. It goes something like this – that this waterfall used to be the bathing place for many fairies from the heaven. One day, one fairy was mesmerized by a flute sound of a young boy. Soo she started coming to this waterfall to listen his flute. However, her parents come to know about this fact and forbid her from visiting the waterfall. Determined to be with her true love forever, the fairy turned herself into a bird. From then onwards, this waterfall got the name ‘love’.

The surrounding scenic beauty and twinkling pyramid structure of the waterfall from a distance has amused many photographers for years. So, make it a point to visit this place before you miss it out.

  • Great local waterfall. There is a 70k entrance fee collected by a guy doing nothing but sitting in the a post all the time. There is also a 1.5 km walk down the waterfall if that's your thing. Careful when it's rainy, it's super wet. We went down on a rainy day and the cold was unbearable for me because I torn my raincoat off (those that cost 10k) but my girlfriend was fine since she got a windbreaker from Phan Si Pan cable car souvenir shop.

  • I have been there 8th of April 2018 around 1-2 PM.that we were there .It was surprise me because it not crowded just a few couple that walk into the waterfall the taxi driver told me that this time is low season such a great day ever the view was incredible very nature and yes no rain a long the way we walked quite clean this waterfall they provided stone way for you and the water fall such a wonderfull view so should visit here very it 's romantic to be here with your partner. we spended time here around 1.30 hrs. by the way you have to pay for entrance fee😁

  • Worth a visit. A short hike to the waterfall where you can take some nice photos and have a swim to cool off.

  • I didn't go to the actual waterfall, but it was a great part to start our Fansipan hike. The trail to the right leads to Love Waterfall and the trail to the left leads to Fansipan.

  • We enjoyed the paved walk to this waterfall and back. We liked this waterfall more than silver falls. Worth the little trek to get to.
