The historical part of Saint Brieuc is centred around its cathedral, but there is much more to see. Half timbered houses surround the church. Close by there is the 16th century house the 'Hotel of the Dukes of Brittany' on Place Louis Guilloux. In Place au Lin (north of the Cathedral), the Maison du Ribeault on Place au Lin is the oldest house in the town. Also check out the 15th century Quicangrogne Manor and the 19th century Town Hall at the Place du General de Gaulle. There are two chapels - Chapel of Saint-Guillame and Chapel Notre-Dame-de-la-Fontaine. East of the Cathedral, you’ll find the Place du Chai, the town’s shopping district, that’s full of outdoor cafes and boutiques. In summers, you may even see street musical performances. And just east of that is the Parc des promenades, a small but shady park, perfect to unwind in.
