It is the largest fortification among the five and had the capacity to accommodate up to 1500 people in a garrison. The Fort Victor-Emmanuel is built with perpendicular fortification and the cannon towers and it protects the surrounding forts with crossfire. It stands on the edge of the cliff at a height of 1350 metres. The fort is equipped with eight two storey buildings standing in a parallel level including the two buildings used as canon batteries. Fort Victor-emmanuel Reviews & Ratings
Very historic. Lots of walking. Great views. Well worth a vist.
The entrance and parking is free, inside is a small restaurant. If one's passing though the area it's definitely worth the visit. Right next to it is an adrenalin park.
Really interesting place to visit. Big location, some interesting details and architecture. Also you can buy a quest set at office de tourism at oussuis, that will be good addition for your visit.
Great fort to walk around in and explore. There's a few hand-cranked audio/visual exhibits, which is pretty neat. Other than that there are a handful of plaques (in French) that explain the different parts of the fort. While we were there we didn't run into any other people. Bonus points if you can figure out the secret code to turn on the projector.
