  • Really cool arena. We thought this was worth the visit. Worth every penny. We purchased a 3 site package for the arena, the temple, and the Tour Magne (an old guard tower for the city.) It's an old Roman arena built first century AD. Built a few year after the Coliseum in Rome. We got headphones which shared information about the arena in English as we walk and toured it. We got to walk all through and around it. It is still used for an annual local event. They do have metal bleachers setup on the inside over the old stone for modern events. Highly recommended! **If you like any of my pictures give me a thumbs up. And Thank you

  • Unfortunately (but a good thing) under renovation and rainy day but could still appreciate the site. A must see as probably the best kept Roman Arena in the world. Audio-guide is very complete making it a bit too long to listen to everything.

  • It's a really good view once you go inside. I haven't been to an arena like that before. So it was a really good experience.

  • Fantastic place. So interesting and the audio guide is excellent. Great views of Nimes and the surrounding area if you can get to the top of the walls but be prepared. The Romans must have had really long legs as the steps are really big

  • I have been to many arenas, so did not come into the arena. I took the Ferris wheel in front of it and could see the arena better and it was fun. Ferris wheel is highly recommended.
