  • We went to this park based on a recommendation of a family member. We loved it. The trails are great and well kept. There were nice discoveries along the way. The beaches along the river was nice and we saw lots of wildlife. The Indian Village looks like a good educational tool for adults and kids. After a couple visits, we realized we have only scratched the surface of what can be found here.  Note: While the park is named for Jefferson Patterson, do a search for Mary Marvin Patterson. A woman ahead of her time.

  • An unexpected delight. Interesting park to visit. Good parking. Absolutely fantastic little gift shop full of interesting locally produced art, pottery, gifts, and curios. Great education and interaction section for the children. Very friendly and helpful workers. Highly recommended for a visit if you're in the area.

  • This park will always have a special meaning to us as our daughter was married here. Love the barn pavilion. Great venue for your event! So many photography opportunities! Disappointed this visit at the number of mosquitoes!!! I realize the park is on the water, but have never noticed a mosquito problem in the past!

  • This place is one of the best places to go for entertainment and fun. They have ample things to do and staff is always nice. Don't forget about Kid's Day on the Farm. That is a great event that always has fun stuff to do.

  • Family held a wedding and reception at the pavilion/barn there. Staff were professional pleasant, and on their game the entire time. The grounds were well kept, and overall very pleasant. Only downside is that there is limited parking for event space, so get there early if you are visiting for that reason. The main parking lot is reasonable given the focus on nature and history.
