Founded in 1854 by the monks of Einsiedeln Abbey, Switzerland, Saint Meinrad Archabbey is one of the most spectacular buildings in St. Meinrad and serves as a commuting chapel for Monastery Immaculate Conception. If you would like to get an opportunity to pray with the Benedictine monks, Saint Meinrad Archabbey offers a peaceful and calm setting for that. The abbey is home to over 80 monks who gather 5 times a day for prayer. The structure of Saint Meinrad Archabbey is also impressive.
Saint Meinrad Archabbey Reviews & Ratings
Such an awesome and neat place. Beautiful buildings and history. You can take personal tours to look around.
The monk that gave the tour could not have been any more friendlier. He said he's been giving tours since 1990 and has given tours to over 86,000 people. The tour was free and covered just about all main areas of the campus including the church itself. The rest of the staff was friendly as well. It's a very welcoming and peaceful campus. I highly recommend checking this out.
