Jersey Airport, Saint Peter Reviews
Lovely little airport that's the gateway to the best Island of the Channel Islands. There's an incredible jewellery shop that sells pearl jewellery. You must check it out because it is superb. Few spots to grab food. If you go to the Pantry get the crab mac and cheese. It's divine. Otherwise, sit back, grab a drink and enjoy your flight when it gets there. It doesn't take long to check through so you don't need to get there too early for your flight! Mostly flights to the UK and a few to France.
Small airport, thus the security is very efficient, very little wait. The main departures hall has been redone coupe of years ago and feel quite more modern with sufficient amount of amenities. The gates, however, seem to be straight from the eighties - dull, tired and uninspiring, but as there is no competition this will likely to stay that way. But overall the airport serves its purpose, just not to today's modern standard.
4days ago is why I give a low ratting work into the G4S security area you are treated like cattle the guy shouting left/right no tray put out for your bits old people are not as fast as he wanted when we got through there was 2 walking sticks in my tray not mine when waiting all the time sum people had pick up wrong passport /bag they were pushing to fast take a look at Cardiff 100%
No good if your in a wheelchair only one ambulift if more then one aircraft arrives or wants to take off, involves on landing a long wait on the plane, thus making the next flight late, and in our case missing our transfer to hotel. Would not recommend for disabled people.
I don’t mind this airport, decent food post security, which is pretty efficient and quick nowadays. Courteous staff, decent selection of display screens scattered throughout along with a functional PA system for announcements if your running late. Top tip! Go through duty free as if your going to the gates, as you see the dividing doors to the gates look left and then go up the staircase. There’s a very quiet and little-known observation deck that’s great if you need a quiet space to work or rest.
