The General Staff Building, Saint Petersburg Reviews
Beautiful experience except some arrogant staff members. When we came with a kid in a pram, nobody offered us lift to take the pram up, when we asked for it security behaved as it is a big deal to call the staff to open special lift (that is closed for public) so we took the pram up on 40 steps on our own. On the way back an arrogant lady who opened the lift for us said that all foreigners know how it works in the museums. Such attitude spoils the impression of the amazing place.
Very beautiful building and architecture. It's a museum from the inside, so you get to see some paintings of Van Gough and Picasso. The museum is big and 3 floors.
If your trip is short but you want to discover Hermitage's wonders - this is your destination. You'll be amazed!
The impressionist exhibition was probably the best exhibition I’ve ever seen.
Really liked it! Here you can find the impressionist collection as well as the post impressionist one. The building is old but has been recently renovated inside.
