The Summer Garden - Review
The summer gardens are spread over an island between the Moika, Fontanka and the Swan Canal. The name of the garden is derived from the Summer Palace of Peter the Great. One of the only locations in Saint Petersburg that has design contributions directly from Czar Peter, this park also has a lot of contributions from foreign designers and artists.
There are numerous sculptures and patterned parterres including a grotto pavilion that presents a beautiful vista amidst the modern city. This place is highly recommended for people who want to experience the laid back and aesthetic nature of the Russian Royalty in olden times.
