Saint John, Saint Thomas Reviews
What an incredible place! The pictures do not do it justice! If you find yourself in the area (on Saint Thomas) then catch a water taxi over to Saint John and head to Trunk Bay! You will not regret it!! I have been to beaches in Thailand, Belize and Australia and this beach is up there with the best of them! Bring some snorkel gear if you go and stick to the rocks, you’ll see a ton of fish! 😊👍
This place is such a beautiful and relaxing spot. My family and I can not get enough of the people that live here and all the shopping centers. Our favorite places to go are the beaches by far. They are so beautiful and relaxing and the waters are always so full of sea life.
This place is awesome. Even with the hurricane damage the beaches and waters are clean. Views are stunning. The local folk are very polite and welcoming. Don't dare leave without a trip to Maho Beach to see the turtles.
We weren't on many of the islands but we really liked st john. It has a lot of really nice beaches. Most of the island is national forest. We went on a short hike to the ruins of a slave operated sugar cane plantation. It was really cool. Megan's bay is a beach that I'd recommend you to go to. It's a huge bay and the water is so clear that you can see the bottom at thirty feet deep. The beach is really quiet and is over a mile long. Defiantly would recommend you to go there.
St. John was one of the best Caribbean islands I have visited. Pros: St. John has amazing beaches. Cinnamon Bay and Trunk Bay is amazing for snorkeling right off the beach. Maho Bay is amazing for snorkeling with sea turtles. Each of the beaches are located in bays, so the water is nice and refreshing and warm. Cons: If you want to go out to eat, it can be pricey. To combat this, I would suggest going to the Dolphin Market grocery store and buy food for breakfast and lunch. Most of St. John is a national park, so if you are not there to hike, snorkel or hang out on the beach, it might be disappointing. I went to St. John in early January, and the weather was 80-82°F with high humidity. It rained every night, however it was a nice warm rain.
