The Torre Del Clavero building is a historical observatory building that has now been occupied by the Government of Salamanca. It is a part of the Sotomayor Palace and is mainly known for the unusual style of architecture in which it is built. The tower has a square base but becomes octagonal as it goes higher up. There are strong pillars each on all the 8 sides and these are intact till now without any reconstruction. The decorations of the tower are made in the form of coats of arms. This is of course not a very popular tourist attraction but is worth a visit given that it is a part of the rich history of Spain.
