Old Burying Point Cemetery, Salem Reviews - Write a Review
It's a place to visit if you love historical places and visiting the graves of the many people listed on the map plaque located upon entrance of the cemetery, but then there are all the other people buried who are just as interesting because many died before 1776 (before the Declaration of Independence came to be). The map is a little tricky. There were only 3 people that we could find. They need a better map or someone needs to create a paper map leading us to the right grave and sell it in the tourist shops. Why hasn't anyone thought of this? It was a hot day. If it hadn't been a hot day I would have stayed there all day. More photos and reviews on YELP
Very interesting. Has a map of notable graves as you walk in from the street access. Volunteers we're there to manage large groups and before Halloween.
Sad that people just come and stomp everywhere. They really need to mark off the pass. It looks like the cemetery is being absolutely destroyed.
really interesting to see, however, being there over halloween it was really crowded and i was a bit upset by how disrespectful people were despite the fact we were in a graveyard...taking smiley selfies hugging a gravestone seemed...weird...to me
Very old cemetery that is most definitely haunted. Most headstones are very well preserved.
