  • Loved it here, train was a little run down however it was still fun for little kids. I enjoyed getting to see a lot of different animals but at the same time many enclosures were shut down or being remodeled. There were all some places covered in spiderwebs. Loved the overall experience though. My favorite part was the gem mining! Really awesome deal for a lot of stones & the amazing opportunity to get one of your own cut! I loved it, great place! Would go all the time if i lived closer!!!!

  • Must see place for kids. Lots of things to do and a very cheap price. Train ride, carousel, splash pad (don't forget a pair of extra clothes), not a great petting zoo and a small wildlife adventure. Paddle boats were great and not to mentioned the playground. There is also a gem mine and a golf course but we did not have time. So plan for full half day if you are not local to the place. Kids will definitely love this place!

  • Went here while visiting some family in Mocksville and really enjoyed it. The only things I had a problem with was that it was under staffed so we spent a lot of time waiting and the area was really lacking in signage to tell you where to go to get what. But other than that, I highly suggest the mining! We all had a BLAST with that. Everyone from the 4yo to the adults! The playgrounds are really nice as well! They are handicap accessible which is wonderful. And all the staff were very friendly!

  • Staff is unfriendly, more like police than anything else. Everywhere you go you see signs about what you can’t do. Camping was a terrible experience for us. The park itself is very kid friendly and a fine day trip. If you’re going to camp- give your money to a more friendly establishment.

  • I was so excited to rent one of the cabins here because I love this park, so I reserved one online. It took awhile to get to the link because this site has some issues, it eventually I did. I made sure to check and see if dogs were allowed and it said Y. When I checked in, I was told that dogs were allowed in the park and the camping sites, but not the cabin, so we had to take her back home. That wasn’t a huge deal because I live nearby, but then I was told that I had to put down a &50 deposit, which would be refunded when I checked out. Two days later, no refund! The charge is still on my bank account. I had to file a dispute with my bank. So whatever you do, make sure to give a cash deposit so you get your money back. Very disappointed.
