This Is The Place Heritage Park Reviews & Ratings
This is the Place Heritage in Salt Lake City is a must to see if you come to Utah. It is a vast area where you will find cultural I formation about the pioneers. You will feel walking on the streets back in those days. I didn’t post many pictures as I don’t want to spoil it but it was so so beautiful. They have many activities for the family, and kids love it! The food is super good and the donuts are the best ones I have ever taste. They are perfect. The ice cream is yummy specially the dole flavor. Riding on the train is so much fun. They have an awesome playground! They have horses and ponies. The view form the top of the mountain is great!
We walked the grounds today and enjoyed the donuts that were good. Employees throughout the grounds were very polite. I went there originally for horseback riding. It was worth my money just because of the no-stress demeanor of the staff in the barn. I enjoyed my horse being super chill. I'll be back another time. Thanks!
I really didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere here is so focused on family as well as learning about and appreciating history. While the overall theme is of course focused on the Mormon experience in the early days of selling in Utah, you get a real sense for what challenges all pioneers faces - and the solutions they discovered along the way. The "role players" or cast were not only authentically dressed but we're great sources of information. Nice gift shop. Decent food choices. Everything is reasonable priced. The sandwich and salads were more than could be expected for this price. Take a day. Take the family. Take some time to travel through time and feel firsthand what life way like so long ago.
It was really cool to walk around a town that was made to look like it was from pioneer times. For the most part the people that work there nice and fun and really got into what they were doing. There were people that were singing and playing the violin and guitar. The park also has a memorial for all of the children that said on the Mormon trail. At said memorial there is a little stream that you can walk in to cool of as well as look at statues of people crossing a river and walking through snow and also you can listen to stories about kids on the trail.
What a fun and educational place! Perfect place to bring kids for a day. Tons to do, cute crafts, animals to pet, things to learn, etc. My kids and I had the best time! We spent most of the day there and still didn't do/see everything. We'd love to go back. Definitely let them pan for gold, then weigh your gold at the bank, go to the "hospital" to do a craft, get a "prescription" and then take it to the "pharmacy" for some "medicine" (a treat). Stamp leather at the saddlery shop, go to the Woodworker's shop, ride a pony, watch a beautiful Native American presentation.....too much to name. Have fun!!
