Mercado Modelo, Salvador Reviews

  • Love the market vibe here. Theres lots of Bahia in this building. Spices and clothes to restaurants and hammocks. Good water sourced food in the restaurants, I do not recommend going if you don't like seafood. It has a lovely view of the port bay below. It helps to speak Portuguese if you're trying to haggle in the market though.

  • Loads of local arts and price is good and negotiable. But the food store at downstairs are not so good and over priced. It is better to eat upstairs.

  • The best place to buy local good such as handcraft necklaces, bracelets t-shirt and local drink and snack like pititinga (small fried Fish)

  • Realy nice place to buy some souvenirs. You have two places to eat... the food is really good, also, the staff its so far away to know what is a table service!

  • Good place to look around and purchase something for souveniors. Please take care of transgenders around here.
