Lake Padden Dog Park Reviews & Ratings
This is my dogs favorite place on Earth! The whole park is HUGE and fully fenced, with a seperate section for small dogs to go if they need some space from the big dogs. There is a covered patio where there is a hose and watering bowls. There are even kiddie pools to wash your dog off if they get a bit muddy from playing in the creek that runs through the park. The park is also right at the head of an off leash hiking trail, which is great for getting some exercise with your furry companion.
This is a very convenient dog park but it also has the worst dog owners. Would recommend avoiding unless you want a vet bill from a fight. For example, today some couple thought it would be a great idea to bring their baby in a stroller inside the offleash area. 1) your baby can get mauled by one of the other aggressive dogs that frequent there 2) your dog is going to cause a fight with any other dog that gets near the baby. Luckily only #2 happened.
Always love taking my fur babies there. They have a side for big dogs and a small dog area. They love being able to run free.
Great park and awesome place for any dog to make friends, play, run around, and go on trails. The fenced off leash area is pretty good in size and has a nice field for playing fetch. The shrubbery in the middle seams to be very popular spot for the pups. I've noticed that the grass gets too long on the edges before they cut it and too often people will leave their dogs poop in it as a result.
Lake Padden Park makes the most of what Bellingham has to offer. Beautiful trails for all levels of hiking; a gorgeous lake for swimming, kayaking and wildlife; and friendly people exercising and relaxing. Also a nice off-leash dog park with seperate areas for large and small dogs. There are also a number of trails for horses and off-leash dogs. Lake Padden has it all!
