This cavern has a bit of a man-nature love story to it. When student Orion Knox Jr. found this cavern, he approached the landowner, Mrs. Clara Wuest with the idea of developing it. The various bodies they contacted for the purpose agreed with the intent, but admitted they did not have the funds for such an endeavor. Undaunted, Orion and Clara took it upon themselves to develop this site, along with help from Clara’s new hubby, patrolman Harvey Heidemann and a man named Jack Burch. Since that time, this place has been managed by that very family. Excavations have revealed some prehistoric animal and human bones and artefacts – including skull parts from an extinct black bear.
Currently the tours in the caves go about 180 feet underground into an atmosphere that maintains precise cool temperatures and humidity all year around. You can choose from various tours – its going to be fantastic any which way. Playing around with the zip glides or being plunged into moments of absolute darkness – the caves will take you completely out of your comfort zone, but you’ll be safe.

Natural Bridge Caverns Reviews & Ratings
It’s really very beautiful African safari. Love this Drive through safari in Texas style . So many exotic animals are there. I guess it’s around 6 miles drive through scenic drive with a close experience with more than 500 animals. It’s perfect fun and an educational adventure for families and everyone. It’s very clean and awesome. my kid loves the place very much. We enjoyed a lot.
Amazing place with a great history. There are 2 main cavern tours that extend deep underground to many fascinating and interesting rooms. The tours run frequently and you will learn a great deal about the caverns and how they were discovered. See amazing sites and experience complete darkness. You could even opt in for more in depth discovery tours off the beaten path of the caves walkways. Along with that, are plenty of outside amenities(food, gift shop, beer) to keep you energized between tours. You will definitely have a great time with the family. But, just remember, touching the natural formations will stop them from growing. Don't touch. But, take plenty of pictures!
Nice time just bring comfortable shoes it's a hike in the cave and then back up to exit. There were people in my group that slowed us down, but overall a great hike and time. I recommend this place and they gave me a huge military discount and thanked me for serving my country. So, five stars all the way and thank you for supporting our troops.
Awesome! Haven't been here since I was a kid in elementary school and was still an amazing experience. I highly suggest the combo tour. The guides were great. Very knowledgeable and funny. Wasn't expecting a comedy routine. Good job guys!
Excellent preservation of a living cave. We were here when it was in the high 90s so it was a nice diversion from the heat since it is always 70 inside. The tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly. Gift shop on site is small, but overall a great place to spend half a day.
