SAMA is an important San Antonio Landmark. It was originally the building of the historic Lone Star Brewery. It’s a brilliant place to either start or end the River Walk. There are also displays of contemporary art, oceanic art, Islamic art and an entire section devoted to temporary exhibitions. The staff is certainly friendly and helpful and knowledgable enough about the exhibits to make sure that you come away enriched. The restaurant is lovely too with good food and it overlooks the San Antonio River Walk.
