The San Carlos Apache Cultural Center acts as the window to the history and legacy of the Apache tribesmen. Serving the San Apache Reservation, this one-of-a-kind museum seeks to depict the rich history of the Apache people, their predicament in confinement and their goal in near future. Known as the descendants of the ancients, the Apache people are also known as the Mountain People. Here you will see the Peridot ornaments, carvings, paintings, sculptures and various artefacts speaking on behalf of the tribe. The items are displayed in a chronological order so that you can have an insight of the timeline. The director of the San Carlos Apache Cultural Center and the supporting staff are also there to clear your doubt on anything. Don’t forget to check out the souvenir shop that is stocked up with books, brochures, jewellery, baskets, key chains, and many handicrafts made by the local Apache people.
