Costa Martinez, also known as Lago Martinez or lido Martinez, is a complex of seawater pools and an open air museum, located in the north of Tenerife, in the town of Puerto de la Cruz. The park was developed by among other great artists, the artist from Lanzarote, Cesar manrique. There you will also find great facilities and the prices are also very reasonable. It is a fantastic place for kids and adults! Plenty of sun beds for everyone. A must visit place with a lot of swimming pools and bars. It is a great place for a weekend gateway.

  • Amazing! After being a little bit sun burnt (typical british) we were trying to find something to do that would give us some shade. We happened upon this place so we thought we would give it a go. The price was pretty cheap. For two adults entry, two sunbed mattresses and an umbrella it came to 13.50€ which isn't bad seeing as you can spend the whole day there. There are plenty of places to sit. We got there around 11am. It was pretty quiet when we got there and never really got overcrowded. The pools are lovely. We thought they were pretty shallow but they get deeper as the day goes on. By 2pm I couldn't reach the floor in most of it (5ft 3). But lovely to swim in, very pretty. We bought two burgers and a couple of drinks for 10€ which, again, is pretty reasonable. There are a few places to eat and some natural shaded area too. Would definitely recommend as a good day out.

  • Water is fairly cold, very clean sea water. Lots of pools to choose from. Safe place to change and leave your stuff. Plenty of shady areas. Very refreshing. Only 5 euros for the whole day. You can go in and out.

  • A lovely scenery of a famous architect. The swimming pools are enormous and beautiful colours. The nature park around has many flowers, palm trees and local greenery. The entrance fee is reasonable price of only 5euros per adult and you get the sunbeds for free. Enjoy the ocean air if you prefer not to swim in the cold water, but definitely worth a visit!

  • Good place to avoid the big waves that are almost every day on Puerto de la Cruz. The water is clean, directly from the ocean, but to cold. You have everything you need inside the resort and if not, there are plenty of shops and restaurants outside the resort. The entrance is 5.5 € for adults and 2.5 for kids, adding the parasol and chairs. You can come out and in as many times as you like during a day.

  • Great place, especially as the ocean can be a bit difficult to access some days due to the waves. This place gives you a similar experience but in a safe pool! The facilities are nice, there's beds (included in ticket but subject to availability) and umbrellas (extra €2.50) but there is also some natural shade. Restaurant has nice food too.
